There are few things that are sure in this life. Even as we fall in love, and even as our time together so far feels like it will last forever, some things will surely change. What I can assure you of, despite the eventual ups and downs of our lives, is that I will stand by you, I will be by your side. To comfort you, to kiss you, to support you, to amuse you, to talk with you, to compromise with you, to discover with you, to explore with you, to share with you.

There will be days when this love will ache, in us being apart, or temporarily distanced. Though I will always cook for you, for when that is not possible, I give you this collection of recipes — it will grow over the years we are together — perhaps for you to cook our dishes for yourself, or (as you order some delivery) to remind you of me until our next embrace.
